How the fees add up
When you incorporate a Hong Kong private company online through the Companies Registry, two government fees usually apply at the start.
- CR electronic incorporation: HK$1,545 (hard-copy filing is higher).
- Separately, the first Business Registration certificate for a local company filed via CR is charged by IRD according to the commencement period.
1-year BR (1 Apr 2026 – 31 Mar 2027)
- For 1 Apr 2026 – 31 Mar 2027, a 1-year BR is HK$2,200 fee + HK$150 levy = HK$2,350.
- CR + 1-year BR = HK$3,895.
3-year BR note
A 3-year BR for the same period totals HK$6,170 (not HK$2,350×3).
